At a time when the health crisis linked to Covid-19 has shaken up the economic activity of CHR players and the consumption habits of customers, optimizing your referencing is no longer a choice but a necessity! Olivier and Elodie, brother/sister duo, opened Bibimerie just two years ago. The little blue restaurant on the corner of rue Lucien Sampaix in Paris's 10th arrondissement offers Franco-Korean fusion cuisine: bibimbaps with revisited recipes! Malou helped them maximize their visibility with local SEO and attract more customers!

1) The initial situation: Bibimerie not online at all

La Bibimerie was invisible online. Every month, the queries "Korean Restaurant" and "Korean Restaurant Paris" are searched 100,000 times and 8,000 times respectively. Yet La Bibimerie never appeared in the first results.

Inconsistent information about the restaurant's opening hours is confusing for Internet users, and can have a detrimental effect on the restaurant's SEO. Restaurant information must be accurate and consistent across all directories and platforms on which the restaurant is visible.

Located in the 10th arrondissement, customers were having trouble finding the restaurant on certain strategic keywords... When searching for a restaurant in Paris, out of 16,132 results, the restaurant La Bibimerie never appears in the first pages (in 4,263rd position only). Customers generally look for their restaurants on the first pages. This can be improved with better SEO to reach new customers on TripAdvisor.Not very visible online and not always well referenced, La Bibimerie deserved to gain notoriety on all the digital channels likely to bring it new customers. It was against this backdrop that La Bibimerie turned to Malou!

2) Objective: maximize online visibility

In the 10th arrondissement, Bibimerie stands out for its fusion cuisine between Korea and France! So we set up an action plan to help the temple of K-Food acquire new customers and generate more sales by appearing at the top of strategic web search results.

3) Malou's work: between optimization and acquisition

To attract customers searching online, you need to optimize your restaurant's local SEO. Our mission is to make the restaurant appear on the first results according to key queries, also known as keywords (words, expressions and phrases that prospects will use to search for the establishment online).A restaurant has two ways of attracting online customers. Either it attracts those searching "by need", i.e. they formulate an online query to find, for example, a pizzeria, brasserie, café, vegetarian, terrace etc. in a specific area, or it is a "destination place", i.e. its customers come to it by typing its name directly online, because they knew it beforehand (e.g. Big Mamma, or Burger King).

So Malou asked itself what kind of queries would make it worthwhile to appear at the top of the results on the various SEO platforms. The challenge was to identify the keywords, create the appropriate content and distribute it intelligently, so that the establishment would rise to the top and become visible to Internet users formulating their queries. To set up and execute an effective volume strategy , we activate all the relevant levers that enable restaurants, and La Bibimerie in particular, to reach new customers and keep them coming back. Multi-channel referencing must be coupled with a content strategy to highlight your restaurant's assets throughout the year: photos, any changes to the menu, new products, the quality of the products, the facilities, the team...

4) Results: after 3 months, a visible page optimized to convert prospects into customers

Over a period of several weeks, we optimized the Bibimerie restaurant's Google My Business page, producing content, responding to comments with judicious use of keywords, adding photos, placing relevant links: in short, improving SEO. In just three months, the statistics are excellent.

Thanks to Malou's work, the restaurant was found 60% more times in June than in May. As a result, it was discovered for the first time by 15,255 new people in June! La Bibimerie appeared in the top 3 for the first time on 20 keywords thanks to improved SEO.

  • Located in 26th position on the query "Bibimbap coréen strasbourg saint denis", the establishment arrived in first position on page 1.

"Restaurant asiatique strasbourg saint denis" moved from 134th position to 26th position on page 2.

  • The restaurant is now listed on 7 new platforms, including 3 special containment/takeaway platforms!

The increase in online interest and the number of customers on the site, thanks to optimal SEO, has enabled Bibimerie to convert these Internet users into customers! With optimized SEO, Bibimerie's position on the various platforms has improved. 28.5% of clicks are on the 1st organic result, and 88% of clicks are on the 1st page. With greater visibility on restaurant directories, potential customers are encouraged to click on La Bibimerie, which accentuates and promotes its placement. The number of prospects converted, i.e. the proportion of prospects who have taken an action (requesting directions and/or making a call) among those who discovered the restaurant thanks to the keywords, almost doubled from May to June -a more than beneficial increase for the restaurant, but also for its customers, who now know where to go to enjoy the best Bibimbap in Paris!

Conclusion

After living in Korea, brother/sister duo Olivier and Elodie opened this small Korean restaurant with a French twist.
