Opinions, followers, why bother?

If you manage one or more restaurant establishments, managing your reviews and subscribers has become essential in the digital age.

This is what we call communication strategy or digital marketing strategy.

👉 We strongly encourage you to discover our guide: 12 digital marketing secrets for a restaurateur!

In both cases:

  • Managing your reviews (responding to all your reviews, negative and positive, in less than 24 hours, with the right keywords) is important for your image, your customer relations, but also your SEO. The 8 out of 10 French people who search for a restaurant online immediately see your average rating and vox stars, as well as what your other customers are saying . Collecting more reviews can boost your online rating by several points. Finally, responding to reviews of your establishments with the right keywords will give you a visibility boost on Google! (More details in the webinar above!)
  • Managing your followers will keep your regulars coming back (customer loyalty) and attract new subscribers (customer acquisition).

You probably know all this already.

The challenge remains in execution!

What can you do on a daily basis to boost your views and followers to the maximum, without wasting time?

‍Thisis what the Malou experts explain to you in this webinar through the Malou booster pack (pictured below!).

Restaurateurs: 3 tips to boost your reviews with the booster pack

Identifying the right time and the right medium

Soliciting a customer for a positive review can be a tricky business.

Train your teams to do it at the right time and in the right way:

  • Bring the Malou totem to the table when ordering, while customers wait;
  • Present the Malou totem to the cashier at checkout , along with a "Everything went well?" script;

If you use the digital support of your totem, use the totem's filtering link and remember to run frequent notice campaigns!

Whenever your establishments are busy (summer or winter seasons, events), take the opportunity to collect as many new reviews as possible!

To find out how many reviews you need to improve your Google rating, take the test!

Restaurateurs: 4 tips to boost your Instagram followers

Many establishments are struggling to get their pages off the ground on Instagram.

They devote energy and time to it, with no results.

The reason?

There are several of them: they don't follow the algorithm's rules!

To retain your current customers (subscribers) and attract new customers (future subscribers), you need to :

  • Use formats deciphered in this article (e.g. Réels, Caroussels) ;
  • Vary your content types (themes) because Instagram is careful not to show too many posts from the same account in a row ;
  • Insert 4 to 8 hashtags per post (brand hashtags, but also keywords defined by the Malou AI);
  • Post regularly : not every day, not ever, but 2 or 3 times a week, EVERY week.

To find out more about these two topics, you know what you have to do: watch the replay 🎬 !
